Maharana Ari Singh II – About Maharana Ari Singh II

Maharana Ari Singh II was the Maharana of Mewar, and he gets the throne of Mewar after the death of Maharana Raj Singh II. Well, he was not actually the real hire of Sisodiya clan as his nephew was the real successor and the Maharana of Mewar but after his death, no successor was left, and Maharana Ari Singh becomes the Ruler of Mewar. At the time he became the ruler of Mewar, the Rajput and Mewar are begin to fall because of the war with Mughals and because of the increasing power of Marathas.

Many people said that Maharana Ari Singh II killed his own nephew in order to get the throne of Mewar, but he later on denied this accusation and continued ruling the Mewar. During his reign, Mewar becomes very week, and they start losing all their grace and left over territories. It is said that Maharana Ari Singh was of very lose temper, and every time he uses to become outraged at very normal issue. Because of this, he was discriminated by the Nobel and royal family members, and they want him to leave the throne of Mewar. This is another reason o the fall of Rajputs because there is a Chios arises among the Rajputs and their noble people.

They started fighting with each other, and the other kings of India continued attacking them. The nobles and the staff of the royal court didn’t like Maharana Ari Singh II as there Maharana, and they planned his death in order to kill him and free Mewar from his short temper nature. They further planned to make Ratan Singh as the king of Mewar after his murder as he was the next hire and the true successor of Mewar after the death of Raj Singh II. After this plan, Ratan Singh made a plan regarding his death and to get the throne of Kumbhalgarh but his plan of killing Maharana Ari Singh was failed and he will not able to kill him.

At that time, Mewar was facing downfall and with the external enemies, they have to face invaders which made Rajputana week and there is a conspiracy everywhere regarding each other death. This whole chaos also effected the royal treasure of Mewar due to which they become financially week, and their people starts suffering from starvation and from famine. After that Maharana Ari Singh was defeated and he was forced to surrender his territories and at last, Bundi ruler killed him.

Maharana Hamir Singh II – Son of Maharana Ari Singh II

After Maharana Ari Singh, his son Maharana Hamir Singh became the king of Mewar. When he became the king of Mewar, nothing left in it as all his territories, fame, glory, and wealth of Mewar was taken by the Marathas and their internal chaos make Rajputs week and from since they lost all their pride and glory.

About Maharana Hamir Singh II

Maharana Ari Singh II was the son of Maharana Ari Singh II, and he was just 11 years old when he was declared as the king of Mewar. But because he was just 11 years old he was not able to rule Mewar, and Maharaj Bagh Singh and Maharaj Arjun Singh becomes the mentor of the Maharana Hamir Singh II. But after that, the mother of Maharana Hamir Singh II named Sardar Kunwar Jhali was not happy with them and after that, she came into the power of Mewar on behalf of his son and started taking all the decision related on behalf of his son. But after that nothing goes right, and her son died when he was sixteen years old, and again the throne of Mewar was ideal.

After the death of his first son, Rajmata decided to crown his younger son who was the hire of Mewar after the death of his brother.  The name of the younger brother of Maharana Hamir Singh was Bhim Singh. But this Maharana has something special in them as he poses the quality of great skills and knowledge and it is said that he regained some of the lost territories of Mewar and some of the territories of Chittor. He tried to make Mewar prosperous and somehow get success in it, and he makes Rajputs proud.

The Maharana fought a war against the mighty Marathas and after that Sindh. He fought the war with courage, and it looked like that Mewar is gaining back all the things they have lost, and Marathas also fear from the Maharana. The minister of Maharana Hamir Singh named Amar Chand developed a conflict with the mother of Hamir Singh and because of this reason Amar Chand was killed by then by poisoning their food.

After all these chaos, Mewar began to fall and will not be able to get back all their lost things to the Mughals and to the Marathas and the downfall of Rajputs began. They lost their name and Marathas become the new and powerful rulers of India and began to rule the country for so many years by shedding the glory and courage of Mewar and Rajputs.

Maharana Pratap Singh II – A brief introduction of this Rajputana king

Maharana Pratap Singh II was the grandson of the hero of Mewar Maharana Pratap, and his father was Jagat Singh II. He was not very superior like his predecessor and considered a Maharana, which not have qualities like his grandfather. He was the eldest of all his siblings and as considered the successor of Sisodiya Clan. He got the throne of Mewar at an age of 27 and became the Maharana of Mewar.  It is said that his relationship with his father was not so good, and there is always remains conflict between father and son.

He gets the throne of his father after the death of him, and he starts ruling Mewar. The story is like that; Maharana Pratap Singh II gave his throne to the son of Umaid Singh, which was the ruler of Bundi at that time. He was given the throne without the permission of his father which made him angry and later his father order his soldiers to arrest his son and locked him in the prison.

This act of Maharana Pratap Singh II was made his life hell, and he had to face various problems in his life. After he was sent to jail, many people tried to kill him by using different methods like by mixing poison in his food, but the Maharana was saved by his well wisher. After this various person tried to kill him but unfortunately, they all got failed in their plannings. The main reason behind this attack was to get him out of the throne of Mewar so that he will not become the Maharana of Mewar.
All the efforts of killing him were failed and after the death of his father, he was crowned as the Maharana of Mewar. At the time he became the king, the Marathas was in rule and that time and just like his grandfather he was not that brave and considered a very week ruler of Sisodiya Dynasty. He was weak and even not able to protect himself, so he paid Marathas in order to get security and for being safe. Mewar fight with Mughals made them week due to which they lost their royal treasure and their soldiers and after Mughals Marathas came into power and started ruling the country which makes them out of the power and they will become depended on Marathas.

In all these chaos, he married to the princess of Amber and had a son name Maharana Raj Singh II, and he became the Maharana of Mewar after the death of Maharana Pratap Singh II. After that, Mewar got weaken, and the Sisodiya clan began to fall.

There are numerous Maharana’s from Rajputana and Maharana Sangram Singh II was one of those Maharana’s who have a history filled with courage and has a great tales regarding their achievement.

About Maharana Sangram Singh II

The father of Maharana Sangram Singh II was Maharana Amar Singh II as his father was really a brave man who won his lost territories of Mewar from the Mughals. Just like his father, Maharana Sangram Singh II was also a very brave and kind king who was the best ruler of Mewar. The tales of his glory and courageous works are just amazing, and his war against Mughals is one of the memorable wars from that time. He won his lost throne from Mughal when the Mughal dynasty was at it end and they start disintegrating. He won the war and announced the freedom of India from Mughals. Well, that time was very hard as the Mewar itself facing problems related to Mewar, which was considered as an obstruct which didn’t make them to spend their territory. 

That time was very hard for the Mewar Maharana as the Mughals became week at that time and because of this reason they planned to attack Mewar but unfortunately, Maharana Sangram Singh II fought bravely against the  Mughals and won the war after the Mughal emperor lost the war he was abolished from our Country India. But at the same time, they had to face problems with Marathas so after that they struggled for marinating their territory.

But after some time, everything become normal, and the Maharana Sangram Singh II established a prosperous and peaceful Mewar. The Maharana try to maintain and balance the financial position of Mewar which is affected by the war against Mughal as it will affect the royal treasure and loss of life which will influence the status of Mewar and its financial position.

When he was the king of Mewar, the people lived a prosperous life under his rule, and the city start to flourish because of his kindness and his intelligent mind and enthusiasm. He was the Maharana of Mewar, which won all the lost territories from different kings.



After the death of Maharana Sangram Singh II, Rajputs begin to fall, and the Marathas had came in power and became superior among all the kings of India.

Maharana Raj Singh I - One of most respect Maharana of Sisodiya Clan

Rajputs are great warriors, and they considered very furious and full of courage.  They have a very special place in our history, and they are our country important part. They have fought many battles in order to save our motherland from Mughals and from other country rulers. The Rajputs have a list of legends and story of their glory which make them superior to them all. Among various Maharana of Mewar, Maharana Raj Singh was one of the most respectable Maharanas of all time.

He was the son of Maharana Jagat Singh I and there are many stories regarding their courage and fearless nature and behavior. He became the ruler of Marwar after the death of his father. After that, Raj Singh takes charge of Marwar and start ruling and after some time the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan heard about the new ruler of Marwar and for concurring Chittor he send a very large number of soldiers to Marwar but in return Maharana Raj Singh sent a letter for maintaining peace and prosperity with the Mughals.

But after the death of Mughal emperor Shahjahan, his son became Aurangzeb became the next emperor of Mughals and fall in love with the princess Rani Charumati of Kishangarh and wanted her as his wife. He sends a marriage proposal to Charumati, but she didn’t accept his proposal. When this happens, Aurangzeb became angry and felt like he was insulted and then he decided to take revenge of this insult from Rani Charumati. When the Rani came to know that she asked Maharana Raj Singh to marry her so that he will protect her from Aurangjeb. As the Maharana was very kind hearted and being a true Rajput, he had respect for women, and when the Rani asked for his help, he married her.
When Aurangzeb came to know that the Rani had married Maharana of Marwar he became angry and sent an army to kill Maharana and after that, he will make Charumati his wife, but unfortunately his dream of killing Maharana and want Charumati as his wife was not fulfilled.

After that, Maharana became the administrator of his military. Besides this, the Maharana was an art and music lover. He was also very passionate about unique and extreme architecture and design. Raj Samand lake was built by Maharana Raj Singh, which is situated in Kankroli. He had a collection of music and heard music everyday and also praises unique art and culture.

Rana Karan Singh- the prominent Mewar ruler

Among Mewar rulers, the great one is Rana Karan Singh, who took the responsibility as a king to rule the empire left by his predecessor.

He was courageous and fought battles along with his father and later took all responsibilities on himself. Due to some treaty between two kings, he was made the part of Mughal council. He was the grandson of Maharana Pratap Singh and son of Amar Singh I.  He ruled the Mewar till 1628 and later on his son Jagat Singh I took that place.

Achievements of Rana Karan Singh

After this, he was able to acclaim distinction in Rajput and began to rebuild his own capital. He also worked in several areas and matters that needed change and also repaired former adversities. He made several things in his empire like courtyards, halls and many rooms in city palace. For the ladies, he built the Zenana Mahal and was only meant for use by the women. He did many great things for the city Udaipur under his reign. The dam that was built on Lake Pichola and it is an unyielding construction of that time and the entire lake was enlarged so that the water requirements of the territory could be fulfilled.

His rule and kingdom

Rana Karan Singh was a great ruler because of his skills and the way he treated every problem that came in his court. A brave man, this ruler was able to sustain the rules and morals laid down by his ancestors during their own reign. During his rivalry with a Mughal ruler, he kept him with respect in the jag mandir mahal. Once this king was forgiven, he thanked Rana Karan Singh for keeping him with regard and was grateful to him. Before leaving, he exchanged the turban with Maharana and gave him the entire responsibility of Mewar. Along with it, the Mughal ruler also gave him five other districts and allowed Karan Singh for reconstructing old capital. He also gifted him the ruby that was of great value. He had a vision for the kind of empire he wanted for himself and made several policies and plans along with the best ministers in court. Shah Jahan later admitted that he was very inspired by the Jag mandir’s structure and dome and later made taj mahal that is remarkably magnificent. 



Rana Karan Singh was among the most significant rulers of the Mewar and Rajput clan and died in 1682.

Rana Amar Singh I – Courageous Maharana of Mewar

Maharana Pratap Singh was one of those kings who bring honor to the whole Sisodiya clan and his son Rana Amar Singh I continued his throne with full dedication and became a mighty and kind hearted king of Mewar.  Rana Amar Singh I was the 13th Rana of Sisodiya Dynasty and rule the kingdom of Mewar. He ruled the kingdom until his death and was the successor of Maharana Pratap Singh.

About his birth and childhood life

Rana Amar Singh was the son of Maharana Pratap Singh and Queen Ajabde Punwar. He was their eldest son and the real successor of Maharana’s throne. His father was the son of Maharana Udai Singh II, and his mother was the daughter of Rao Mamrakh Panwar. Ajabde was the first wife of Maharana Pratap eldest in all queens. The birth place of Rana Amar Singh was Chittor, and he was born in 1559 on 16th March.

Rana Amar Singh was raised in Chittor, but unfortunately, they lost it to Akbar at the time of his birth and after that his grandfather Maharana Udai Singh shifted his kingdom in Udaipur. 

Prince, Commander, and war

When Mewar was conquered by Akbar, Maharana Pratap fought many war and battle against the Mughals to get back all his lost kingdoms. As Amar Singh was the eldest son of Maharana, so he was declared as a successor and prince of Mewar. Rana Amar Singh was a very furious warrior and very skilled and trained in many weapons. He was considered a perfect successor for his kingdom Mewar as he fought in the war against Mughals with bravery and courage.

There is an incident in which Rana Amar Singh bought some women with Officers of Mughals to his father and that time present Maharana of Mewar. When Maharana Pratap sees women with his son he scolded him and asked him to take them back with safety to the Mughals camp and by seeing this, Mughal officer felt a respect for Maharana Pratap and he doped the idea of attacking Pratap and from that moment he left his position and on his position Akbar assigned his son Salim as his general.
After the death of his father, Amar Singh became the king of Mewar and later fought many wars against Mughals but face defeat against them. But after the Mughal Emperor died Jahangir gave all the territories which belong to Mewar. After a long time, Amar Singh passed away in the year 1620 on 26th January and after him his son gets his throne.

Maharana Pratap Singh- the bravest ruler of the Rajput clan

Maharana Pratap Singh is known among the strongest warriors India has had in history. He was the Mewar ruler who ruled north western areas of India. He belonged to sisodian Rajput clan and is most famous mewar ruler of all times. His successor was his son, who was named Amar Singh I. There are many things about this ruler that are not known and some of them are:

        Maharana Pratap was strong and one of the toughest fighters. He could carry two swords and wore armor that weighted a lot. He was greatly built and stood at seven feet and five inches.

        During his rule, many Rajput dynasties that ruled in India had surrendered to Mughal ruler Akbar. But he did not surrender his empire to him and ultimately Akbar had to send diplomats to make a peaceful alliance with Maharana Pratap.

        Pratap’s power was evident from the battle of haldighati in the year 1576.

        Among main qualities of this ruler the great ones include: virtuousness and self-respect and this can be seen in his style of ruling and the way he restrained from surrendering.

        Maharana Pratap was of tough nature and did not give up easily. His brothers surrendered to Akbar, but he did not. Since he wanted to free India from the foreign and Mughal rulers.

        He fought the battle of haldighati that was started by Akbar to control Maharana Pratap, Singh.
        He took an oath to free chittor of the clutches of the reckless rulers and tried various strategies to make his wish real.

        This ruler spent lots of time to perfect war skills and made many techniques that were used by the army to fight with opposite army. The guerilla warfare was the most famous war skill used by Maharana Pratap Singh to harass the rivals by hiding in bushes.

        He got the title of “Leonidas of Rajasthan” and proved how much he was worthy of such a grand title.
        He carried war efforts to unimaginable levels and all the parts of his empire showcased some kind of brilliant victory, and the defeat of the other army.

        Due to his efforts to make India free from the life taking clutches of different Mughal and foreign rulers, Maharana Pratap Singh was considered the first freedom fighter.



He did many great activities during his ruling time and left lots of techniques and policies of ruling for the successors of mewar clan and died from the injury he had when he was hunting at the age of fifty-seven.

Maharana Udai Singh II – a mighty and furious Mewar king


Maharana Udai Singh was a furious and might king of Mewar and consider one of the best king of Sisodiya clan. Maharana Pratap Singh was his son who later on got the throne and became the Maharana. The father of Udai Singh was Rana Sangram Singh and He had an elder brother named Rana Ratan Singh.  So, this is a short explanation of his family members and now looks for his history and about Maharana Udai Singh.

About Maharana Udai Singh

He became the King of Mewar after the death of previous king of Mewar named Maharana Vikramaditya Singh. The story is like that, Udai Singh has an elder brother named Rana Ratan Singh who was considered the real successor of the Mewar throne after her father Rana Sangram Singh. And after the death of his father Rana rattan Singh become the king of Mewar and but later on he was killed and his place was taken by Maharana Vikramaditya Singh and became the Next Maharana of Mewar.

But again Maharana Vikramaditya was killed by Banbir and he also tried to kill Maharana Udai Singh but he was saved by his nurse Panna Dai who sacrificed her son to save Udai Singh. Banbir killed her son and in this way Maharana Udai Singh get saved and later on he was decaled the Maharana of Mewar and rule the throne which was previously belongs to his brother. He became the king of Mewar in 1540 and start ruling Mewar. At that time, Mewar was the most powerful dynasty in Rajasthan and no one want to compete with Mewar and Maharana Udai Singh.

About Chittor Conquest

Maharana Udai Singh was a furious king who was dedicated to his kingdom and very justice king. But after some years, the Mughal King Akbar conquers Chittor and defeated Maharana Udai Singh. Maharana Udai Singh has an enormous army of soldiers and they all fought very bravely but unfortunately his army was defeated by the army of Akbar and after that he became the founder of Udaipur by shifting the capital of Mewar to Udaipur.

After some years he died in the year 1572 and in the month of 28 February. After his death, his son Maharana Pratap Singh became the king of Mewar and rules the kingdom. Maharana Udai Singh has a very enormous courage and he rules his kingdom with full dedication and bravely fought for her kingdom and for her people.

Maharana Sangram Singh I- the successful mewar ruler

The ruler of mewar, maharana Sangram Singh I was born on April 12, 1484 and is more popularly known by the  name rana sanga. He was head of Rajput confederacy during the sixteenth century and is known among the powerful rulers of mewar.

His achievements are numerous and because of his stable ruling and war methods the Mughal lost their empire. Rana sanga fought the two famous battles- battle of khanwa and battle against the afghan Lodhi Empire, and Delhi sultanate.

Rana sanga married rani karnavati and has two sons- Udai Singh II and vikramaditya Singh. Rani Karanavti was also grandmother of the great mewar ruler maharana pratap. Later she committed jauhar in the chittorgarh fort in 1535.

Rana sanga was grandson of the famous ruler maharana Kumbha. He rose to the position of king after his battle with brothers.  Among the great battles fought by maharana Sangram Singh II are these:

·         Battle of khatoli: rana sanga encroached the new lodhi ruler with a prepared army that was strong and large. The battle continued for almost five hours and after that the opposite army left away and fled from the fight. Nut the new prince was caught by rana sanga. The fight of this battle was so drastic that rana sanga lost his arm that was cut by sword and he became lame for the entire life. The Muslim rulers were angry with rana and thought of revenge in the next battle that was the battle of dholpur.
·         Battle of dholpur: this battle was started because Ibrahim lodhi wanted revenge from rana sanga. But once the mewar ruler came to know about this he fought with a furious army and once again the Mughal ruler was defeated by rana sanga. Once the battle was over, rana sanga got many territories under his empire like the chanderi.

·         Because of many victories, rana sanga came to be known as principle player in northern India. Rana sanga’s main objective was conquering the entire whole empire that was under Mughal rulers. He wanted entire Indian empire under his control and made strategies to fight battles in ways so that he could win more and more territories.

The ruler left a massive empire for the successors, and died on 30 January, 1528. His last battle was against Babur, and he wanted to help medini rai. But at his camp, rana sanga fell ill and died.

Maharana Udai Singh – Biography of the king of Mewar

Maharana Udai Singh was the king of Mewar and his father was Maharana Kumbha. His story of becoming king was filled with blood betrayal and he was considered one of the cruel kings of Sisodiya Clan. As we all know that Rajputs are very brave and their courage represent glory and they have a fearless heart. But as we all know that it is not necessary that every king of Sisodiya clan was good and gentle and Maharana Udai Singh was one of the kings in Sisodiya clan who was cruel and arrogant.

About Maharana Udai Singh

Maharana Udai Singh was the most spoiled son of Maharana Kumbha. He was not that king and gentle and filled with arrogance and with negative attitude. He became the king of Mewar after betraying his father Maharana Kumbha. But later on, Maharana Udai Singh was betrayed by his brother Raimal and he killed Udai Singh for the throne of Mewar and after killing his brother he declared himself as the next king of Mewar kingdom.

How he become the king of Mewar?

Maharana Udai Singh get the throne of Mewar in a different way as he was not crowned as a king of Mewar by his people but he became a king after killing his father. One day, when his father was worshiping lord shiva at that time he slaughter his own father with a sword and because of this incident his father died and after his father’s death he declared himself as the new Maharana of Mewar. He rule the kingdom foe a very short time of 5 years from 1468-1473. Maharana Udai Singh was not a good ruler and due to which the whole Sisodiya clan had to face grief and lost all of their important territories.

When he lost his entire kingdom he wants a support from the sultan of Delhi and for which he offer his daughter for marry to the king of Delhi so that he will gain support and get back all of its lost territories. But before marriage he was Killed by his brother and died there.

Conclusion

Maharana Udai Singh considered as a destroyer of the dynasty and fame of Mewar and Sisodiya clan as the Mewar have to face many problems when he was become the king of Mewar and the kingdoms people have to live in misery because of threat caused to them by Udai Singh. Mewar have to face bad times because of Maharana Udai Singh.

Maharana Kumbha- the great Mewar ruler of Udaipur

Among the popular Mewar rulers, the name of Rana Kumbha has to be taken. He belonged to the clan of Rajput and ruled the western Indian areas from 1433 to 1468. His achievements are amazing in cultural and architectural structures.  His empire had many examples of great culture related activities that are still seen in remote areas of the Udaipur city. Because of his ruling ability and the prosperity that the city was achieved he is remembered among the best Mewar rulers of India.
Maharana Kumbha is known as the king who never lost any battle in the duration he was the ruler. The maharana’s achievements are numerous, and some prominent ones are:

        The Vijay stambha: this great mewar ruler made this amazing structure that is a stunning example of architectural elegance. He built it after his victory on Malwa, and the tower is nine meters. The tower is beautiful because of the carvings that are present on all storeys and it is made for dedication to Lord Vishnu.  Maharana Kumbha was witty since he carved the word “Allah” eight times on this tower so that if his empire is invaded by the rulers of Muslim dynasty than they will not destroy this structure created by him.

        The great wall: India has a great massive wall that is fifteen feet wide and thirty-six kilometers long. This was also built by Maharana Kumbha, even in such a land surface that was so rough and uneven to build such a long and high wall.

        The Kumbhalgarh fort: this was made for the ruler to live and is located in thick dense forest areas. Because it is so hidden and safe no invader could manage to enter it. And this fort is remarkably elegant and is the largest fort in Rajasthan.

        His personality was of an all rounder since apart from the architectural things, he had also written some books like sudaprabandha, samgita Raja and the kamaraja- ratisara.

        He has also written some music based books that were named sangita krama dipaka and sangita ratnakara.

        Along with the Vijay stambha in chittor, other places that were built under Maharana Kumbha are adivarsha temples, shantinatha Jain temple, trailokya Jain temple, and kubhasvami temple. 
The ruler was killed in 1468 by his son, but his achievements and style of ruling kept inspiring many of his successors of the Rajput clan.

Maharana Mokal – History and information about Mokal Singh

Mokal Singh was the ruler and the Maharana of Mewar, and he ruled Mewar from 1397- 1433. Mokal Singh was the son of Mewar’s Maharana Lakha Singh and after the death of his father, he became the Maharana of Mewar after his father’s death. Mokal sigh was famous for building various buildings which are monument today. His clan is Sisodiya, and he had a duty on his shoulder to convert his motherland into a beautiful city and make Mewar beautiful.

About the history of Mokal Singh

As you have a slight idea about the Mokal Singh’s life now let’s look for his story of becoming king and how he get the throne of Mewar.

Maharana Lakha was the kind of Mewar and the father of Mokal Singh, and Mahanara Lakha died in a war and after his death his son become the successor of Mahanara throne as he was the son of him and the real successor to his throne. But at the time of his father’s death, Mokal Singh was very young and due to which his brother who was elder than him name Choonda became king Mokal Singh mentor, and he had taken all the decision related to the Mewar’s affair.

But after that when his elder brother gets control over his throne, Mokal mother named Hansa Bai didn’t like that, and she opposed Choonda and said that his intensions are not good, and he wants the throne of Mewar, which actually belongs to his son Mokal Singh. Because of this serious accusation, Choonda became disappointed, and he left Chittor and get retirement from Mandu, which was the capital of Malwa at that time.

After when Choonda left Chittor, Hansa Bai allotted her brother Ranmal as the administer of Mewar and made him the mentor of Mokal Sigh and his brother will look out for the affairs of Mewar on behalf of Mokal Singh and when Mokal Singh become major he declared as a king of Mewar for real.
 
When he became the King of Mewar

After Mokal Singh had become the king of Mewar, he was very furious and mighty and considers the warrior which is most celebrated. He defeated many kings at that time and brought proud to his mother land and to Mewar. Gujarat, Nagpur, and Delhi Sultan was defeated by him and in that honor, he constructed various building and structures which were considered on of the finest piece of architect, and the structure and craftsmanship of the buildings made by him are marvelous. After some years he was betrayed by his uncle and died in the year 1433.

Maharana Bhim Singh – About Maharana Bhim Singh's History

At this time, Mewar suffered from a hard time as they suffered from financial crises and lost all the hopes of retaining their lost territories and their status. Also, this was the time when Maharana Bhim Singh was born and became the next ruler of Mewar after his father Maharana Hamir Singh after his death. Well, He was the 67th Maharana of Mewar and also the minor one after three Maharana’s of Mewar and considered the 4th one who was minor.

Maharana Bhim Singh became the king of Mewar at an age of 10 years as he was the hire of Maharana Hamir Singh and after his death; he had the responsibility to take care of Mewar after him. He was raised by his mother and the wife of Maharana Bhim Singh named Rajmata Sardar Kunwar Jhali, and she will look after him and as he was the minor his mother take all the decisions related to him and look for all the current affairs Of Mewar on behalf of Maharana Bhim Singh. He ruled Mewar for 50 years and face many ups and downs during his reign because of Marathas and because of the internal issues and chaos in their kingdom.

When he became the ruler, Mewar already facing a great threat from Marathas and the other kings of the country and also the Mewar economy was disturbed and the farmers and the people of Mewar suffering from huge economic crises.  The Marathas get their foot on the land of India, and they robbed all the treasure of Mewar in various ways, they made Rajputs week and also attacked their economy which will lead to the fall of Marathas. Besides this, the farmers of Mewar lack of fertile land and they didn’t have pastures for feeding their animals to they fled their land.

Maharana Bhim Singh was financially week that he had to take money from other kings in order to get married. His family was also very large, and he had 32 sons. As he was very week and need support, he joined British to defeat Marathas. But this was the wrong decision of Maharana Bhim Singh as after that Britishers get control over the political affairs of Mewar and the Maharana’s of Mewar were forbidden and were not allowed to involve in any kind of political affairs. Besides this, Mewar has to pay Britishers, a part of his revenue to the British government, and he was considered lazy and irresponsible regarding their people. Maharana Bhim Singh died when he was 60 years old and after that Mewar was ruled by Britishers.

Maharana Sajjan Singh – Hero of Mewar dynasty

This time was the beginning of a revolution where one king of Mewar made history and became an epic hero of Mewar. The name of the hero of Mewar was Maharana Sajjan Singh, who was the Maharana of Mewar. When he became the Maharana of Mewar, various invention and modernization were taking place, and it is not wrong to say that the Maharana Sajjan Singh was the Maharana of modern civilization. 

About Maharana Sajjan Singh

Maharana Sajjan Singh belonged to Sisodiya clan, and his cousin name was Shambhu Singh. After the death of his cousin he was the only successor left after him, so he became the Maharana of Mewar. The another Maharana was minor at that time, so he was declared as the king of Mewar. Just like the other minor kings of Mewar, he was also had mentors who look after Mewar on behalf of him. Maharana Sajjan Singh was considered a great king of his time as he was entirely dedicated to his people and work for their welfare and for the prosperity of their people.

He plays a major role in the development of Mewar and contributes to the infrastructural development of Mewar like he built railway tracks, roads and provide water supply to his people. Besides this, he also established a department who will look for all the illegal work like corruption which includes bribery and misuse of the funds generated for people.

The Maharana provided all the facilities required for the development of Mewar and for the development of their people. He had also established educational institutes and promoted education which had a significant contribution for making humans a human resource. He was also developing the resources required for medical purpose and provided better medical facilities to the people.
As we all know that India has an abounded of natural resources and our farming sector is one of the largest sectors which produce income and employment. By considering all these factors, Maharana Sajjan Singh introduced various techniques and methods which had been useful for the farmers and for the crops and introduced different farming methods like irrigation facility and take serious action against deforestation.

Next thing done by him was that he made Udaipur incredibly beautiful, and renovation was done by him in order to make the historical monuments safe and beautiful. His most successful project was the construction of Monsoon Palace and also beautifies the famous Pichola Lake. So, Maharana Sajjan Singh helped in the development of Mewar and also helped in the economic development of our country India.
